A SHOUT for Joy!

Oh, man! I thrill every time I hear it! The music of the Portland band Lenore! The band's two lead vocalists, Joy Pearson and Rebecca Marie Miller, were born to harmonize together. Wait until you hear them!

And you will hear them, because we've signed on Joy to write music for the Losing Addison soundtrack! So excited was she, after reading the novella, that when I asked her to write for the film, she said, "I'm going to write 90 minutes of music! I'll write every day for a month!" While I assured her that was a bit more music than we'd need--and, of course, she was teasing--she is so in love with the story that she couldn't wait to sign on.

The mother of three, she understands the dynamics of sibling relationships, and the difficulty a mother faces when kids expect their mother to choose between them. Wife of accomplished musician Jacob Miller, Joy heads up a musical household, where a day doesn't go by without a song in mind or being set down on paper.

The often sad and heartfelt melodies of the music that Joy and Rebecca create for Lenore are a perfect fit for the often dark and moody moments of our film. They will fit hand-in-glove. I'm so excited! Just have a listen to this beautiful track, and you'll be excited too!
